Terms of service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") apply to your use of hillcountry-collective.com (the "Site") and any purchase from Hill Country Collective ("we", "us" or "our"), a Texas candle company. By using the Site or placing an order, you agree to these Terms.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live, to place an order.

2. Products

  • Our candles are hand-poured in small batches. Slight differences in color, surface texture and scent strength are normal and are not defects.
  • We try to show our products accurately, but colors on your screen may vary.
  • Always follow the candle care and safety instructions on the label. Never leave a burning candle unattended, keep candles away from children, pets and anything flammable, and burn on a heat-resistant surface.

3. Prices and payment

  • Prices are listed in U.S. dollars and may change at any time before you place your order.
  • Sales tax and shipping are calculated at checkout.
  • We may refuse or cancel any order, for example because of a pricing error, suspected fraud, or limited supply. If we cancel a paid order, we will refund you in full.

4. Pre-orders

  • Pre-order items are charged when you place your order.
  • Everything sold before November 15, 2026 is a pre-order, and all pre-orders ship on November 15, 2026. Orders placed on or after that date ship within 1 to 2 business days.
  • You may cancel a pre-order for a full refund if you ask before November 13, 2026 by emailing contact@hillcountry-collective.com. After that, pre-orders cannot be cancelled.
  • If something outside our control delays a pre-order, we will email you with the new date, and you may cancel for a full refund.

5. Shipping

We ship only within the United States. See our Shipping Policy for details.

6. Returns and refunds

We do not accept returns at this time. See our Refund Policy for pre-order cancellations and damaged items.

7. Intellectual property

All content on the Site, including text, photos, logos and product names, belongs to Hill Country Collective or its licensors. You may not copy or use it without our written permission.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, Hill Country Collective is not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from your use of the Site or our products. Our total liability for any claim will not exceed the amount you paid for the product involved.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold Hill Country Collective harmless from claims arising from your misuse of the Site or our products, or your violation of these Terms.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes apply to orders placed after the updated Terms are posted.
